AVIVA Grand Prix, FEB 18th
This meet is, in our mind, the best indoor meet in the world. A crowd of 8,000, sold out since November 2011, the meet featured Jessica Ennis victory in the 60 m hurdles, Lui Xiang World Leader in the 60m hurdles over Dayron Robles, British victories in the high jump, pole vault, long jump, and Eliud Kipchoge's win over two miles, pushing Mo Farah to a new British record and the destruction of Emiel Putteman's 39 year old two mile record.

- Fascinating information on two mile for men today: Exactly 39 years ago today 18 February 1973, Emiel Puttemans of Belgium, ran 8:13.2, which is still the European record. Mo Farah is going for the British record of 8:17.06, and should break Puttemans ER! #avivagrandprix
- Mo Farah has not run a two mile in a while, his best from 2008 is 8:20.95, number 3 on British list. (Note number 9 is Ian Stewart, meet director, 8.28.4, from 1973). #avivagrandprix
- Emiel Puttemans, 1972 Olympic silver medalist at 5,000m & 10,000m, had world records for 3,000 outdoors, two miles and 5,000m. #avivagrandprix
